about
MARY GACHO IS A LOS ANGELES BASED CREATIVE.
I am an island-raised, first-generation American.I have always been passionate in creating content that is visual, current and with a relevant purpose to myself and the viewer. I find inspiration in expressing myself in various mediums of creativity— whether it be interior design, illustration, or digital media. I hope to convey a deep sense of work ethic and versatility in my craft. I started my career with one of West Hollywood's most notable interior design firm with primary responsibilities for the furniture design collection. A brief look into my work history would outline multiple roles that I've held in the design field, starting out as a design assistant and working my way into a project management role with an extensive understanding of design development, manufacturing process and client relations. With a decade of work history within the interior design and architectural lighting industry, I have cultivated my network and knowledge to manage successful projects from design development to construction administration.
I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2011 with a degree in Interior Design. As of early 2021, I have enrolled at Otis College of Art & Design in the lighting design extension program to further immerse myself in the theory and practice of illuminating spaces. Currently, I am working as an interior designer for Patrick Ediger Interior Design and when I’m not working on projects, I freelance as a graphic designer for small businesses and non-profits focusing on brand guidelines and website redesigns.
